Ayşe Bala Akal

Ayse is a Research Assistant at the Peace Research Institute Oslo, where she works on a number of projects on migration and humanitarianism. Ayse holds a BA in Law from Istanbul University and a Masters in International Criminal and Humanitarian Law from the University of Oslo. Ayse`s research focuses on a range of migration-related issues including externalization, securitization, humanitarian borders and hostile environments.
