Aisha is an independent qualitative researcher and has undertaken research for international and local organizations on issues ranging from women economic empowerment, violence against women and female genital mutilation. She is a co-founder of the Innovative Trust Initiative, an Independent Evaluation and Programme Management Alliance (IEPA) working for the empowerment of women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development interventions, human rights, humanitarian action, peace, and security. She is a PhD scholar studying curriculum studies and investigating effective ways the curriculum can be used to tackle religious extremism in north-east of Nigeria. Aisha is also an educator with competence in education management and administration, as well as curriculum design.
